Juneteenth Pop-up Shop

I curated my first-ever event, a Juneteenth Pop-up Shop. This event included 10+ Black-owned local shops in Baton Rouge, LA on June 19th, 2024.

My role as organizer for the event included

  • creating a creative brief for planning and execution, see here

  • reaching out to vendors to confirm their attendance and updating them with information for the event

  • creating a straight-forward flier as well as distributing it throughout the community at local businesses and community spaces including

    • East Baton Rouge Parish Library

  • Be front-facing on news and interviews to advertise the event, as seen in the video below
